Need other's opinions

I'm going to make a custom scaler and unfortunately the front and rear can't be the same. I've found setups where the rear would have a 2.92:1 gear ratio and the front would be 2.83:1. In your opinion, are these close enough as to not worry about it, or should I keep looking? Ideally, I want a solid axle with a 2.83:1 ratio, does anyone know of one?

You should be just fine. There are plenty of folks out there running overdrive/underdrive gears in their AX10 axles and those are 2.57:1 and 3.31:1 ratios.

Okay, thanks for the info. I couldn't see it being a big issue, but wanted to make sure.

you just want the higher gear in the front to help pull the front up the hills

Good catch. Yeah, you will want the front spinning faster than the rear...

That is so close u could even go more of an overdrive in the front to give u that go climbability! Are u using 2 different manufactures axles? Should b interesting.
