| Question about RC4wd Trail Stomper
I'm lookin to get my little brother-in-law a scaler. I saw the Trail Stomper on RC4wd web page. I'm wonderin if it is good for beginners. He doesn't like my SXC-10 Honcho. He's wantin a leaf spring truck. Is it a good truck and what's the number one upgrades for it? Thanks David |

Should get the Trailfinder 2 instead. Or you could convert a scx10 to leaf spring.

Ya step it up to the tf2 if you want a scale leaf sprung rig.. Not saying the trail stomper wouldn't work... But it is your call...I love my tf2... I left the front leafed and the rear is linked...

| Re: Question about RC4wd Trail Stomper I was thinking about this but my front is currently linked. I feel like it performed better when I ran it with just a 4 link rear. Also the reason I said TF2 is there is alot more for it. From my experince with the TF2 the driveshafts need to be upgraded right away.

I picked one up at RPP Hobby. I couldn't resist the fact that it is RTR and the price with the terrific RPP discounts and free shipping put it at $275 shipped to my door. With the savings I purchased the Punisher drive shafts. I was considering the TF2 because of the 2 speed transmission but when you consider that even the Gellande II has a single speed transmission, we are not losing much with the TS.

I'm thinking about getting the trail stomper too, for my wife, I want the tf2 for me because I want to mod it but I think a basic trail stomper would be great for her. I'm also considering getting her a wraith instead though not sure yet.

You did fine with the ts dude. Everybody & their mother is gonna steer ya towards the tf2 right now. Cuz thats what they bought. Flavor of the evry 6mos (can you say twin hammers?). Anyway ts & tf2 are both great rigs.

Sorry for not bein on for awhile. A lot of stuff has been goin on the past couple of months. My little brother in law loved his TS and he's already wantin to upgrade it and try comps. He doesn't like the body. He wants a hard body after seein the Hilux and Clodbuster body's. |
