It needs to come down a lot! I'd mount the shocks higher and mount shorter shocks. Try some scx10 shocks. I bet that thing flops over just looking at rocks.

I have my old scx10 shocks... But I need to create a place that is higher in the truck to mount my shocks. I'm not sure if tac welding a little piece of sheet metal on would work or not.... It may not because of the shocks thoughts on how to do it?

You definately need to mount the shocks much higher in the chasis. I would strongly suggest agains't running shorter shocks as the more wheel travel you have the better. Depending on the thickness of the sheet metal you could use it fine. You could make a u shapped tube and mount it on the upper tube. Tack the sheet metal on the inside of that new tube/chassis with holes in it for adjustable positions.

Would I need a spacer between the shock and sheet metal?

Yes you would need a spacer to clear the shock body. For reference you are trying to make something like this BGR Fabrications Wraith rear shock tower

As said before I recommend getting the ride height lowered. I also noticed that your rear shocks are leaned toward the back of your rig. This has never worked for me on any of my builds. If anything I think that you want them to be tipped forward a bit. A ride height of 2.5 to 3 in at the bottom of the skid is plenty. It will really lower your center of gravity.

Hope this helps. The shocks leaning towards the rear will bind, causing no travel at all. They should be vertical or laid forward a bit. The further they are laid forward the softer they feel on the truck. Def lower the truck, as said earlier, less travel is not a problem so shorter shocks will work. One of the threads on the subject. Too much articulation wtf?!!?!?
In my experiance tacking sheet metal to solid rod is very difficult but can be done. Obviously the thicker sheet metal the easier it is.
Just looking at the chassis my gut tells me the top of the shockk should be near the middle tube(rod) in the rear and near the top of the hood for the front.

Can you tilt them inwards toward the center of the chassis with new mounts? The more you tilt them, you also reduce the spring rate effect making them softer because they are not resisting the force 100 % vertically. After remounting them, you could also try softer springs.

you could try making a couple of half moon shock hoops and just braise them on the frame that way you still have the travel on the shocks
