Question convert from ax10 to scx10

So I just aquired a real nice ax10 for real cheap. I want to convert to scx10. I knowbthe obvious axles, trans are the same but what about the shocks and links? Anyone have an Idea?

You can look at the AX10 and SCX10 manual to see all of the parts required to convert from AX10 to SCX10.

I did this to the wife's Scorp,

Shocks are not the same, pretty sure the Scorps shocks are 100-105mm, SCX units are 90. I used the front shocks off a Slash at all 4 corners, simply 'cause I had 'em hanging on the wall.
Links are not the same. Don't know what the difference is on links as I had to make my own to get my wheelbase short enough for my body. IIRC,the Scorp upper link (Y-link) is too wide to fit in the SCX chassis. I wound up buying two AX80043 link kits so I could harvest the 4-link trusses. I know Dinky makes a truss, as do others, can't remember who all does right off hand.

If you haven't already ordered the SCX chassis kit, you might want to check out TCS crawlers' X-Trail kit (instructions available on their website). This is what my next build will be based on. Not sure if you need to be more 'scale' than this, or if re-using Scorp parts is more important to you. Just an option, something to think about.

I bought a scx10 based rig with the xtrail chassis.. and i like it a lot and wouldnt hesitate to buy a xtrail again if needed... that is all i can contribute..

not the best pic.. but you can see the chassis... this is how i bought it less the paddles..

The only scx i've bought was my 1st, around 5 yrs ago. All the rest have been ax10's. You really just gotta have the chassis. The links & shocks off the crawler can be used till ya get what ya want. One little thing tho, you want the trans plate from an scx also. It locates the lower link ends inside the rails, for more triangulation. Which works much better.
