Just did the Xr mod with standard beef tubes. My conversion turned out clean but new holes and tap was required. Release these for us narrow track guys.

That method has been used to make super xrs for over a year.

Solid method.

I have been super busy/injured back last week so I am planning on making a batch this coming week. Once I iron out a couple little questions I have in my head, I will put them on my site and update this thread

Never seen those before. Is that the end of a wraith housing or something? Mine are still undercut so it should be a more solid method in terms of keeping the housing from spreading

Yes sir, it's a wraith housing end (donor housing is in the photo).

I don't have the cool tools that you have available.

This was the best option for me to get the splined end.

I wanted metal beef tubes, and splines......no such thing at that time.

I'm not really worried about the housing spreading.

I have a bolt front, and back to secure the tube out at the ends.

The diameter of the brass is nice and snug inside the housing.

I added one extra screw on the backside near the diff to really lock it in there.

Three bolts in heavy wall brass tubing is likely stronger than the housing itself. If one side breaks off, it's taking half the center section with it....hahaha.


Like minded people will rejoice at the release of these tubes. Can't beat metal tubes for pure strength, peace of mind, and more secure threads.

Havent had as much time as I thought. Luckily I should be starting a batch tomorrow night, and have more pics and info on the completed product soon. Got some pricing roughly nailed down also. Stay tuned

Finally had time to get some test tubes made up. They will be on the site as soon as the adhesive dries and I can drill/tap some holes. There will also be this style in all the tubes/housings I offer ASWELL as a new rear design. Stay tuned!...
