Sorry I didn't get the pics up yesterday like I said I was going to, I just wanted to finish up a few things first. Ok. Well, last night I started covering all the links but did't finish untill this morning. I would have been finished last night, but somehow all the links eneded up being different lengths. On the agenda for today is to relock the trannies. Thats going to a pain in the azz because everything is put together. Stats: -WB-17.25" -Chassis clearance- 5.25" -Under axle clearance- front 2 5/8" rear 3" Yes, I do purposely have the front lower than the rear. -width(outside of one tire to the outside of the other)- will be about 13" *Just a little other info: Those battery straps are really nice. You can get them at wal-mart for $2 and come in a pack of 8. They're in the electrical section as they are made for organizing wires. On to the pics. First pic-the beadlocks all put together. Second pic-wheel base Third pic- links covered Fourth pic- overall above pic of the pede Last edited by ILoveRCRockCrawlin; 10-29-2006 at 09:24 AM. |

Well I got the trannies all locked up. I also rewired the motors. The old wires had so many connections in them its no wonder the motors were even able to move. Now It looks a lot cleaner. So, now I'm just waiting on the esc and I got ahold of the LHS and they have some 14mm hexes in stock, so I'll be taking a ride there tomarrow. |

Got my ESC today, thanks to Red RockCrawler. When my mom gets home I'm we're going to take a trip to the LHS to get some hexes. Can't wait! I'll be sure to get pics of it running.

Ok. I got some pics of it in action. It would have done better if the front tranny didn't come unlocked after 3 mins of driving. Anyone know of a really good way to lock a pede tranny that doesnt involve JB weld? Anyway, heres the pics... |

O and on the tranny lock, Gorilla Glue works amazingly! I locked mine and ran the 5800 in my Rustler and beat the piss outa it and the shafts broke in 2 and the tranny stayd locked! I swear by it in the Rusty tranny!

Sorry no vid yet. It gets too dark too early. And now that the trannies came unlocked, its almost pointless trying to crawl. I'll ask my stepdad tomarrow if hes got any Gorrila Glue at the shop. They've got everything there but the right machine to cut out the rock rings. Grrr.

| Hundreds can't be wrong???
Did you clean out the center gear real well (i.e no grease inside) before using JB weld? Did you let it cure long enough? Hundreds of us can't be wrong or can we? Good luck and I hope the banana juice glue works. |
