Default Performance

Waiting for supershafty to re stock with the kyosho velvet shocks. Until then I'm running the ascender aluminum shocks in the front, but I need shorter shocks for the rear and I'm wondering should I go for the King shocks or gmade g•transitions? Which shocks would give a scale rig the performance to crawl and trail with ease? Any advice that comes from personal experience would be appreciated. not looking for crazzyyyy flex, I just want a shock that's going to do its job and eat up bumps while the body and chassis glide over. Hopefully all my rambling made sense and thanks in advance

Traxxas big bores. They come in 4" and 3.5". I recommend running them with the mini-T springs, and if you really want to get crazy the MIP bypass pistons are fantastic. Both Dlux and Crawler Innovations sell the shocks, springs and spring cups you need.

I'd honestly just cut down the shocks you're using now. Since the spring collar and cap use the same threads some careful filing can make the body shorter. Throw a die on the shaft and you can thread it further up and shorten the shaft as well.

I have a set of king shocks and there's literally zero noticable damping with 100wt oil. I'm actually going to make a set of new pistons soon because I LOVE how they look but the performance isn't there.

Everything I've seen from gmade seems like too much of a gimick for me to spend money on. Their "reservoir" shocks that aren't real reservoirs other than they help you tune pack are my example of this. Why try to pass it off as something it's not?

There's a guy in the SCX10 section that seems to be very impressed with a set of eBay shocks. Might be worth taking a look at.
