| Xtra speed piggyback shock - questions
I'm build a 10x10 rig so I need a lot of shocks. I was considering these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Xtra-Speed-...EAAOSwLF1X43HY I've search but can't find much info. If people have some I'd like opinions. I'd also like to know dimensions like what size springs these use. I will most likely need so pretty stiff springs so I want to know if these shocks use a readily available size. All input is welcome. If you know of alternatives (keeping in mind I need 10 shocks so price is a factor) I'm listening. |

You could go with Traxxas shocks, you can find them for about $20 a pair, sometimes less for a set of long and extra long. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk |

| Re: Xtra speed piggyback shock - questions That could be an option but I'm hoping to find smaller diameter shocks, like scx10 or proline scalers but at a good price. Scx10 shocks would be OK but I've owned a lot and they are tough to keep from leaking. And with 10 shocks on this rig that could be a lot of wasted shock oil! |

The Traxxas shocks aren't very big, and they're pretty good about leaking. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk |

If I could run them with mini-t springs they would be slim enough but I don't think those springs could carry the load.

I've found out the hard way over the years that if you can't get your spring rate dialed, you're screwed from the word go.
