Default Remote locking axle options?

Besides the traxxas axles, are there any other axles on the market that have the ability to be locked/unlocked remotely?

Why not use Traxxas axles, they work well and are reliable. You can get a portal delete kit if that is what you don't like about them.

I haven't ruled them out yet, I'm just seeing what other options, if any, there are.

Ive been debatin on gettin a set for my scx10 ii. I like the idea of the portals n the ability to lock n unlock the diffs. Only downfall is lockin diffs just leads to more things to eventually fail. But half the fun is tinkerin on them lol

I keep hearing people speculate that the selectable lockers in the trx4 axles are eventually going to be a point of failure. The reality has been that the stupid micro servos Traxxas uses have been the real point of failure. I've been using and abusing mine for over a year with literally hundreds of lock/unlock cycles with the only failure being the servos. I bought a kit to use the servos in my rtr, and am making brackets to use Hitec 225mg's in the kit.

Agreed. Just tore my axles down for the first time and the locking rings and what not show zero wear, and I use them quite a bit. Very compact and well thought out design. I'm not sure you'll find better ones out there.

I think Teng here on the forums posted some axles from overseas that had cable actuated (via servo) locking/unlocking diffs. I could not find the thread here, but I'm pretty sure these were the ones in the link below. Might be a bit convoluted.
