If I would add a GoPro 7 to the top of the truck would it effect the CG allot and make it feel tipsy? The truck I would be using is an Axial jeep Cherokee.

If you cant mount it "inside" with a windshield peep hole, I would suggest mounting it to the hood. Ive never run one on top but I imagine it would affect the COG, how bad? No idea.

GoPros are quite heavy. I tried mounting one of mine to my deadbolt and what would have normally been an easy climb the truck would just roll over. The smaller session would probably be the best bet. Especially mounted inside the body. I’ve been looking into some of the FPV/record systems for drones to mount on my truck for onboard views. Probably going to go that route. With rocketry we use 808 cameras for the smaller scale rockets. These things look like a small key fob and have little effect to the COG and drag. However they don’t have the best recording capability but sub $20 you can’t expect much more. SCX-10 II Deadbolt 2 Traxxas Rally Instagram: shortbusadventureteam |

You may want to look at the Mobius line of cameras. They're much smaller and lighter than the Go Pro. I just picked up a Mobius Mega that I'm trying out.
