|  How much Overdrive is too much?
I have a couple of options for overdrive in my rig, one is 30%, another gear option will do the fronts 50%. In your experience, is 50% better? I havent installed it yet and will test when I do with both ratios, but anyone have a massive amount like this before?

20-30% is a good range.

Yeah 30% is good, 50% is gonna leave the rear with very little ability to help out.

I've been looking into this too...I have a new Axial SCXII Deadbolt that I thought I would modify with under drive in the rear axle. The stock ratio for it is 30T/8T. So far all I have found is an over drive ratio of 27T/8T for the front. No kits for rear under drive. 30% difference seems to be too much as well...I looked at Harley Designs YouTube on modifying the Deadbolt. He recommends doing it only if you are mainly crawling with the rig and not trail running...just my 2 cents. Have Fun!!! |

In my opinion 10-15% for trail running, and 30%+ for comping!
