Default Crawlmaster in a Capra

Any one running a Crawlmaster Expert 20T in a Capra?
Opinions would help me out.

Thanks,

Got a 16t with a 12t pinion and it's extremely good. Low end is good as well.

Thank you for the info.
I am new to the hobby, Could you explain the advantage of changing the pinion rather than running a 20 T motor?

I run a HW1080 paired with a crawlmaster sport 13T, 11T pinion on 3s in my capra, wheelspeed as you need and smooth at startup. Next i will test a 10T pinion.
Right now i would go with a 16T crawlmaster sport using 3s, for more drag brake and torque. On 2s i think the 13T is the sweet spot. using 3s 13T or 16T would be my choise.

If you're constantly throttling the power to the 20t motor it'll likely heat up some. Using an appropriate motor that'll be allowed to throttle a bit more will reduce that stress / heat.

A 16T Crawlmaster with lower gearing will have more torque, better low speed control, better brake hold, and run more efficiently. Running a 20T Crawlmaster with the stock gearing just makes things slower without all the other added benefits.

Plus it will run hotter.

I would normally have recommended a 20T but having had a 16T CM Pro in my Capra I'd agree that's the one!...
