Default Axial axle threads? Which die? Anyone cut adtl. threads before?

Greetings! Looking to add threads on my Axial universals. Reason is I'm running RC4WD narrow hubs and woild like to avoid running a bunch of washers/spacers between the nut and the hub.

Has anyone done this before?

What is the thread? I believe the size is M4.

Thank you.

I added a few threads to my VS410 axles, just takes a M4 die and some patients.

Since I don't have any fancy holding fixtures, I used my drill to hold the axle shafts while I put the die to them. It is slow going but not terribly hard.

Thanks for the response. Did you use M4 x 0.7mm?

M4x.7mm is the one. It is the much more commonly available thread pitch of the M4 die options.
