| Spektrum S614 servo voltage only 6 volts?
I cant find any reliable voltage specs for the Spektrum S614 Servo (stock steering servo in the SCX10.3) which leads me to believe it is only rated for 6 volts. I was hoping to run it on 7.4 volts, but I cant find any Data. I looked it up on the Spektrum website but they gave no voltage specs. Anybody running this servo on 7.4 volts?

Limited to 6V, as one would expect from an OE supplied servo. The 614 is absolute garbage, and would still be garbage if it could survive 7.4V. My advice is to bump it up to 7.4 and see how long is lasts. When it dies, replace it with ANY $30 servo on Amazon and enjoy the dramatic performance upgrade. |
