World Crawler Build Off Rules (Jason, Badger and Dirk Digler are the only members of RCC that can modify these rules) 1. Any active RCC member can participate 2. Build any type of RC crawler (clod, shafty, etc) You may fabricate your own parts or buy prefabbed parts. Note: By purchasing prefabbed parts will most likely hurt your potential of winning many votes. 3. Must be functional and reasonably capable and you must be able to prove it if asked (via video, etc) 4. Building time: July 15th through September 15th 5. Photo submission deadline is September 15th: Voting will begin shortly after 6. You may build in teams (it will be up to the team to decide on the fate and ownership of the truck in the end) and each team is limited to one truck enterance into the competition. 7. Judging criteria will be based on the following: Engineering, creativity, attention to detail, show and shine, functionality 8. Judging will be by members votes and the most number of votes determines the winners. 9. The Top 4 trucks will receive top honors and any awards and prizes. The RCC staff and admin will be responsible for awarding appropriate prizes, if any. 10. There will be absolutely no contesting the rules, dates, outcome or prizes. This contest is for fun and bitching, whining, complaining or crying will only get you removed from the Build Off. If you get hurt while building your crawler.....too bad! It is not the responsibility of RCC or any of it's members if you endanger your life or health while competing in this contest. More information to come........ |

I would like to add one thing. Just to make sure everything stays on track, everyone entering this should send pics to me like once a week, with a progress report of what has been done that week. I will not be entering the contest and will keep all photos and info top secret, this will just be to make sure everyone is keeping the ball rolling. |

Hay I'm new to this sport (newbie) and I want to compete in the comp but there is no way i could finish a complete crawler. Even if the comp startes in july. Do you think you could let the people who don't really know what there doing (me) get a head start. I have started allready on bending frame parts but dont know how to weld. -ttrmike |

I am pretty sure the rules are set at the top of this page and it says no changes and no complaining. Stick to the rules or they will pull this comp. if people start bitching and whinning.

Personally, I love that it is starting in a couple months. I am the only income in my house, and a decent amount of time to save up cash is paramount! I am way in, just need to figure out a theme... |

Thank you for making the construction starting in july! I am so low on funds, but I want to do something with the TLT for this. I guess I won't be able to use my as of yet un-named chassis for the comp since that'll be going into prototyping in june... Oh well....

What if you buld you crawler soon before the comp? Could you still enter it if you just enter it if you just built it?
