I used to use those crappy traxxas ends, but since switching to Dubro rod ends, i will not use anything else. I have used the reg. dubro ends and the " monster" ends. I'm running both right now and haven't broken one. they are a bit pricey, but i dont have to worry about it again. Besides a nice search would already give you these answers. there has been at least 4 good threads on it that i know of |

Right now I'm using 1/4" heims on my current rig. They WILL NOT EVER break in this application. Heres a pic........... :-P :-P :-P I found some that I'm gonna use in the "Crawler Build Off" for my new rig. I've not yet seen anyone use them on their crawlers here. All I can say is that they are BEEFY and they make those Dubro Monster ends look like ant turds :-P You'll just have to wait and see :-P cuz I aint postin up ANY details of my new rig I'm planning. I've got 98% of everything to build it,just gotta wait till the start date :-( :-( . I see all the parts sittin there, cryin out to be used all in good time I guess. I run the DuBro monster ball ends... I am yet to break a single one of them. That says a lot Most guys run traxxas ends though. The biggest plastic ones I know of are either sold by thecrawlerstore.com or GS Storms rod ends (search on their site or on here for a link) |

Steve- we are not into building it on the 1:1 side though bro if me and Dave have yet to break a Dubro end, that is saying something( specially for dave). i would rip at least 4 -5 traxxas ends out everytime i would go play. not anymore. No matter what rod ends ya get, just remember you get what you pay for. just IMO, i think its better to go with a better quality end and maybe spend some more, but not have to worry about breaking it. yeah Kyosho makes a big one also. I think a few guys run them. Not sure who did the posts, but steve or dave( i think it was Dave) done a post about all the rod ends and size and pricewise |

| i use some thing simular for my shock ends that attack to my links on one of my clods, but it's the nut version instead of the external thread.bullet proof ball end and link i also use these made by pro line for the ends of the links that the shocks are mounterd on http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDEG8&P=7 i like the traxxas cause i do prefer to have a cheep ball end to be the weak link rather then busting an axle tube or more.i have good luck with the prolines as well and had not broken one yet on the prolines i tapped the link to 6/32 and it holds on great |

I've been running the 6.8s for years...only recently did I thrash one and that was due to several things..one of them being 180lbs of me falling on the freakin' truck. Overextension from Savage shocks on the rear of Jr. finished it off. I've had excellent results from the 6.8 Kyoshos.

I was just razzin about the Dubro ends,I know their pretty beefy if they'll stand up to you and Dave. These particular ends I'm refering to ARE 1:8 scale and are SUPER beefy. I found them on the net at a RC suppliers web site. Yeah, you do get what you pay for,TraxASS ends are TRASH............IMHO. I'd better hope these ends I'm gonna use will live up to their apperence and be SUPER BEEFY,the darn things cost me a little over $60. It's a shame to spend that much on parts and it won't even fill up a half a hand full of parts. They'd better hold up. I'm not sure about the negative feedback about the 6.8 Kyosho's. I used them on my sons Twin and they are pretty dang beefy. After we finished his Twin I wanted to see if it would handle decent at speed. I took the GD600 and Lathe motor out, barrowed a race motor from the owner of the LHS I go to,gear'd it up pretty high and run it. I can't remember the # of turns the motor was but I was running a 19 tooth pinion and a 50 tooth spur for gears. Let me tell ya,that little sucker would scream. I was running full speed DOWN the bank in my back yard and hit a little jump. She landed a little sideways and ended up doing about 40 end over end and barrel rolls. Didn't count excatly but it had to be close to,if not more than 40. I know it was only one crash but DAMN,it was ONE hell of a crash. Not a single one of the Kyosho ends failed,if they'll hold up to this, they are damn good in my book.
