Default Academy HUMMER project !

Hello !

I`m new here. I always want to buy clod buster and New era Tube upgrade, but I haven`t got much money now. I bought a new car some time ago.
Few years ago I bought ACADEMY HUMMER RC. It have only 2WD, so there is only one gearbox. First I`ll show you how it looks oryginally, than I rebuild it a little.

Oryginall :

Rebuilded :

I make him little longer and higher but suspension it still the same. Now I`m thinking about build something like crawler suspension for this and I`ve got two boxes of oryginall model (4xchocks). I must build all other parts myself, cause there is no part like this in Poland I think. What do you think about it ?

Did anyone try to build crawler from 2WD vehicle ?

Cheers !

Hmm, interesting project. You will definately have to make your own parts as I personaly, have never seen anything like that. Looks like its from Korea?
Anyway, you can always mod ANYTHING, as I have.

I guess the question realy is, what so you want to do with it?

Are you going for a crawler?

Basher?

or race style setup?

Definately enginuative. 2wd crawler might be a little hard to do, especially with independant suspension. But if you build it we will watch. All of us like a good build up.

Looks like a good idea, but I would design your own chassis in the center.

I`ll think about it but there are good points to mount shocks in oryginall center chasis.

I love taken pics of my trucks. The three Jeeps are made from 1/6th scale GI Joe Jeeps. The other truck is 10th scale. I have more RC's but these are my favorites and the ones that get most of my attention.
You should check out the other forum I frequent. www.clodtalk.com on that site you can search my screen name and see all my posts. Most every one of my post over there have pics of my build ups and trucks that I have had and built in the past aswell...

Nope no video's. I usually can't hold the camera and drive at the same time and usually I don't drive with anyone else around cause my wife hates that i have them to begin with. She says they take up to much space.

Yes I have built a 2wd crawler out of a Traxxas Stampede. I am waiting for the weather to change and I'm going to take it out. The max articulation is about 90 degrees. and YES it is INDEPENDENT SUSPENTION!
I'll post pics soon of it under memebers rides.
