Default help plz

Ok I have a scaler trail truck ..... I had the vxl speedo and vilenion motor in my truck 87 spire 14 pinon NO COGGING now I took that speedo out cuz I wanted drag put a mamba max in ..... Cogging like crazy same gears ... So I put a 90 tooth spur in with the 14 pinon and its cogging like crazy anyone Eles running this motor and has got rid of the cogging .... I like it cuz I do a lot of water n mud so no maintance compared to brushed motors any help would be great

You could try asking in the electronics section, but from my experience the non-sensored motors are going to cogg. I agree with you the the Traxxas setup is very smooth for a non-sensored system but I tried to to get a MMP to run a velinieon (sp?) motor smoothly and gave up.

You won't get it as smooth as it was, or as smooth as a sensored system. But you should just mess around with the esc settings on castle link. It may help you get close to where you were.
