KOH front axle????

iv recently got back into rc'ing again after coming across an axial wriath and now im hooked again ,started looking at the wraith then decided i was going to build my own from scratch with tube and looking for inspiration came across pirate 4x4 which is verrry cool ,and has given me lots of ideas , which is where my problem starts , the wraiths axles are both solid yet the shannon campbell buggy has a solid rear and fexi front (not completely sure on the correct terminology)

the exo seems to have this flexi axle too although the chassis is a monacoqe, i was wondering if i copy the design and fab slightly beefier and longer components get it to work in the crawler app ??? double suspension , four link , with a fabric belt thingy attached to the tube to stop the tranny from pulling down of the suspension when its in mid-air ???

iv searched endlessly for info on builds like im planning and only found one large scale 1/6 which has gone dead now :((( im waitnig for funds to come in then all steam ahead ,iv even cleared my workshop up in readiness for the brazing, i.e. removeing all flamables

The Fabric thingyies you are reffering to, are called Limiting straps or limit suspension straps. you can buy them at team 3 six
The flex front is Called I.ndependent F.ront S.uspension I.F.S.

You can also buy Sway bars at Hot Racing.

Use the front end from a 4x4 slash. Has the differential, control arms and knuckles, and axle shafts.

the term you refer to as "flexy" is ifs (indipendent front suspension).the ones everybody seems to use and work well is the slash 4x4 ifs setup. although, i always had a "vision" to biuld a wraith with T-MAXX front suspension.

ah coolio thanks for all the feed back guys ,i just wasn't sure why no one else had done it already with there koh builds thats all and if it actually was possible at this scale ,
and yes toy4crawlin it will be running 1.9's just looks alot more in proportion thanks again guys right im off to search for the slash 4x4 ifs
