Default Preferred position for cms

Was wondering what the is a preferred position for the servo is when doing a cms? I've seen them mount across the back of the front bumper mount and along the chassis rail like a real steering box or doesn't it matter just where you have room.

Default Re: Preferred position for cms

As long as the arm is parallel to the ground location doesn't matter, the characteristics will be the same. Weight distribution will change.

I have mounted them with the arm 90* or perpendicular to the ground for clearance reasons, this works but can cause some chassis/suspension movement as the servo cycles.
