Default Expedition rig.

Has anyone built a scale expedition rig. Like ones that earthroamer build. I think it would be pretty badass. Similar to the ones in the pic.. I think I want to try this. Base it off a scx10ii or tf2.

There's a Toyota-based camper build here that came out quite nice:

toyota camper/motorhome

About the only body now available that would work well as a base is the Pro-line Ford SD Honcho cab:

You could always go a little nuts and build it into a 6x6 once the parts to stretch the SCX10.2 chassis are available from Axial...

...or go whole-hog and build it on the Traxxas 6x6 - or do a Defender-based rig:

Cool concept. You will be proficient at styrene or working aluminum when done.

Ya. Think styrene would be best. That corner above the cab on the earthroamer will be the hardest part.. I will start a build thread when I get some parts.

Look at the third pic on the first post. It is from RC Driver. I wrote the article and it was a sweet build.

Ya. That is the most awesome thing I've seen. Did you build it?

That is not my rig, but the guy who put it together did an awesome job, especially considering the parts he used before we all had access to 3d printers and such. I thought there was a post here and one over on scale4x4rc.org. I was just the fortunate one who got to write the article and take the pictures.

^^^ Yours are always top-of-the-line, my friend!

Love the solar panels on the roof, and the spare wheel mount on the back...
