I got mine ready for the next comp. Switched from a 55t to a P2K 27t. Can you say wheelies. Also ditched the mickey ears.

Anyone else finish building?

Ryde, can we run this class?

Do we want to run it like the 2.2's or rock race?

Even though I don't have one built (yet), I vote for rock race style. The rigs are lighter and we need something different to do/watch

I got mine running! (but still need to get tires :-( )

Running a 3S and BM6 outrunner at the moment. But a 27t stocker sounds like fun

I have not run mine much so don't know which I would rather do?

What do you think Sheldon? Having run yours which do you think would get more people interested in building a 1.9 Comp Tuber?

Shoot, IDK. I just ran it in the living room. It did well it low speed.

I think that a little faster will interest more of the club now that we have more "racers" out crawling.

It would be sweet if we could find a spot with dirt & rocks to lay out a track/course on. Some slow rock sections with a step up & some doubles.

Aah O.K. hehe

Alan said his ran pretty good at the last Kahaluu GTG.

I agree on faster being more interesting.

The only place I can think of having the needed elements with dirt and rocks is Kaena Point?

I guess I will need to change from my droop setup to a sprung setup?

My two cents and it's not much since I only came out once since I don't know when I came across HRCC. hehe

IMO the club has the 2.2 class for technical rock crawling so I vote for a Rock Racing class. The other thing to think about if it runs like the 2.2 class is time and from my understanding from the other threads, the club is pushing time just running the 2.2 class. So I’m thinking rock racing may take less time depending on how much rigs race at once, track layout, amount of laps and how to handle the eliminations process to determine the winner(s) for the day.

BTW. any one out there have an extra set of 1.9 tires for this class they want to sell too me? Thanks Gang

Have you seen the supposed 1/18 Losi crawler? If we can get cheap axle kits for it, i'm using them to make a 1.9 comp tuber

Is Losi announcing their crawler??

Cool find. See how our LHS deal with this and it's parts support.

Yah that Mini Crawler looks pretty kewl!

Having owned a First Gen Mini LST I will hold out a little while to see just how strong the drivetrain and axles are on this thing?

And remember this thing is only powered by a 380 size motor and not a 540.

I know I am going to be waiting for the wheels and tires to come out!

That Losi crawler is NOT the direction I want this class to go in. Think of it more as a true scale comp, what real comp crawlers look like.

DTP,

Do have any plans on a final gear ratio ?

Is the 27t stock motor rule set?

Will a two speed trans be OK? wounder if an e-maxx trans would fit and how it would work (just thinking)

I think I have all the parts to build my 1.9er except for tires. Still trying to find a set locally.

Don't worry DTP, not thinking about running the Losi crawler. Just thinking that if the axles are a good scale fit to a 1.9 buggy, I might want to use them in the future. I don't think I'll have mine done for a long time, don't worry about me...

I would think all those are open. Run whatever you want. Only specs right now is in the first post. We can discuss anything, I do want to keep it for tubers only to keep the look.

Hey X, those tires are only 3.75" tall, where as the crushers or stompers are 4.25"

Yah true. I guess I will still be buying some RC4WD's then

Joe I don't think your going to find any 1.9 tires locally. The only ones out there are the RC4WD stuff.

I would'nt want the 1.9 Comp Tuber class to go the direction of the Losi Mini Crawler either! They should make for a kewl "spec" class though.

I had to put my EPIC into my Trans Am Pro4 for Sundays Drags, but found an "OLD" 27t that still has some kick to it so the 1.9 is ready to go Unfortunately it is rolling on those FUBAR'ed MOAB's

Yeh I fugured that. I may have to break my own rules and mail order. I may try to find some of those prepaid type visa/master cards I use to see at the supermarkets and hope RC4WD will take them.

Hope to you all this weekend at the R/C drag racing

I bought an assortment of springs in a pack from Lowes, picked one and cut it in half. they seem to be about the size of a ball point pen spring.

Kewl ThanX!

I saw some at City Mill that was sold in pairs but could'nt tell if they were the right length or stiffness? I guess I should have measured the TLT shocks beforehand!hehe I'll be taking the TLT shocks with me next time.

That or maybe I'll make some changes to my XXT shocks?
