Anyone know if any of the local shops have TLT axle shafts? Need to get my 2.2 fixed again.
Yea that sucked. But I still managed to get some crawling in at Kakaako. Ended up making more changes mostly adding weight to the front. One more time this weekend.

Might try and come by?

But with the X-Mas Parade that morning might not be able to get away from the family?

Kay, none of my MRC parts came in. So I'm gonna try the truck all stock except for wheels and tires. Finish up some reduced Panthers, they are
4 1/8" tall. Followed Just Zacks method.

Default carnage!

Went out to Kahalu'u today, and me and my two trucks are wounded. Slippahs + jagged rocks= bloody feet. *mental note* No matter how excited to run you are, PUT ON SHOES! This was the first time I've driven a berg and I must say these things are pretty badass. I tried all the spots I could remember that my WK couldn't make and climbed them all pretty easily. Now I'm not saying this truck will make me win, I still have alot to learn when it comes to driving. A truck doesn't make a driver, a driver makes a truck.

Next I ran my MRC. First off I noticed how bad the torque twist was but what made things even worse was all the oil had leaked out of the shocks. The Panthers performed well, they just need some weight. The combination of high traction, large tires and heavy beadlock showed how weak the stock servo is. The servo is clicking pretty bad when I turn so a 5645MG is going in tonight along with a CC BEC. I'm sure a new ESC will be reuired soon. Overall I was happy with the performance of both trucks.

On the way home I stopped at Alewa park, where I tested my WK alot. I wanted to see I lines that I couldn't pull with my WK would be possible now. On a pretty high climb I rolled the truck and it rolled a down the 10ft rock face and broke a stub shaft. Time for some AX10s.

Sounds like you had some fun

Was thinking about coming down but after dealing with the X-Mas parade this morning just was'nt in the mood

Bummer on the carnage but especially the bleeding

But Dang a 10Ft. drop and you only broke a stub axle!

Did the MRC feel a little tipsy with the bigger tires? Or do the wheels your running add some width to the MRC? I know when I tried my cutdown Moab's the HPI TC wheels I was using actually made the truck a little narrower and it rolled quite a bit.

No doubt the more you drive the better you get!

Man I still need to get some axle shafts to get my 2.2 running again :-(

Yeah, overall it was a good day. I'd rather break and fix stuff now rather than during a comp.

I didn't feel the truck was any more tipsy that before. I'm running Mayhem beadlocks so maybe the weight helped things but I'm not sure.

The next thing I have to get is shocks, stock are basically fiction dampers. They leak out so quickly, there is no sense refilling them. I think I'm gonna get Losi shocks, instead MLSTs, cause they are a small diameter like stock.

Can't wait to actually run a marked course, random crawling is ok but a course is more challenging.

Xtant what kind of axle shafts you looking for? If its the stock axials I have a pair if you want them.
cutlass how many axial stubs do you need? I have one I can give to you.

Anyone know where I can get stick on weights for my wheels? Went looking to day and couldnt find any. I went to a couple tire places and they didnt want to give me any or sell them to me :-(.

Wow that is pretty lame that they did'nt want to give or even sell you some lead!

TRCC usually has the Great Planes stick on lead weights in stock.

Aah I needed the stock TLT axle shafts. I ordered some so I am good. ThanX for the offer though!

Thanks ,I already have four stub shafts. What size lead were you looking for? I might be able to snag a couple strips from work.

Where are you guys running your 1/8 buggies at?

I just finished converting my losi 8ight to brushless with a MMM. Just waiting on the next check to order my lipos. What motor, and how many cells are you guys running?
