What kind of torque, speed and runtime should I expect if running a 2.2 Wheely King with a 7.2 volt 3300 mAh NiMH battery and a Sidewinder ESC with the Revolver Black? I really don't want to switch to Li-Po yet. I'm currently running a 65T Integy but I'm not happy with the performance.

You will get more wheelspeed, about like a 55t. Torque will be a ton more, hard to quantify that. Runtime on a 3300 will be over an hour, depends on your driving really.

Should just be a few more weeks here, depends on how the factory is doing.

Default Scorpion 3032-8t versus 850 Crawlmaster

How does the Scorpion 3032-8t compare to the 850 Crawlmaster?

The are listed as same diameter but different lengths. Is the 3032-8T a more powerful motor?

The 3032 is twice the length, twice the power.

Hey John,
I'm building a comp rig and I will be running one of your crawlmaster 850 kv (not the crawlmaster sport) with a mamba max and a 3S LiPo. I'm going with your advice to volt up and gear down. I was wondering if you could offer me a good place to start with gearing for this motor. It's an axial based rig with axial tranny and axles. I'm running the stock 87 tooth spur gear.

12t pinion would be my starting point, but you may need to dremel the tranny case a bit to clear the motor on all sides. Some cases fit, some don't. Luck of the plastic mold.

Thanks for all the help, I've been wanting to get some advice from you for a while and that talke we had REALLY educated me a lot on what setups will work together the best. I have another question though.

Will the Quark 33 regular work as well as the quark 33 Pro Car ESC's?

JohnRob,

Is the crawlmaster too much for the CC Sidewinder? Or will the Black Revolver be more fitted for it?

NEVERMIND

Thanks anyway

The quark 33 and Pro car versions will work the same, just different progamming modes.

The crawlmaster works just fine with the Sidewinder.

They are shorter indeed. Diameter is just a hair larger, length from face to end is 1.5"

Well after posting I went and read everything. The info is here, I just had to look a while.

Looking at mamba monster and that crawlmaster, any reason it won't work on 7.4 lipo? Work better on 11.1v?

Thanks for the help, really want to support the vendors here!

I am building a 2.2 SCX-10 and have a Mamba Max ESC for it. I want to run a sensorless brushless setup. I would like to retain some wheel speed but also have plenty of torque for crawling. I would also like to run it submerged when needed. What motor should I be looking at?
