I charged a different battery and tried it. That didn't work.
I will mess with it a little more. Then give quark a call. Just didn't know if you had a magical JRH fix for it. Hammer?

Look in the clearance section. They are discontinued so I marked them down.

John,

hey, I bought a axiom 55t motor from you last week to replace my 3 year old integy 55t along with a cc bec and some other things. I got 2 questions for you.
1. The motor did not come with any caps. Do you recomend them or are they not necessary?
2. The motor performance seems OK. Not much different than the integy but there is a loud clicky noise coming from the endbell. It seems like the brushes. Is this normal?

My setup is pede tranny 17/86 7.2v moped and dual 645mg. The cc bec is awesome btw.

Thanks

Bigger how? I like to run as much voltage as possible in a comp.

How about 7 cell 8.4 volt, 4200 NIMH at the most and possibly 6 cell 7.2 the least.

Let me know b/c I do need to order one more Mamba Max and the BEC/Regulator. I just need to figure out the setup and all the voltage crap of which I do not understand, yet.

John,

If you have a mamba max and a BEC, I need to order them, but I need to get the setup complete. I need to get the BEC set if you can. Help, for I am a electronics moron.

Caps are necessary on a 55t, but if you experience glitching it would be a good idea to install them.

Inspect the motor for anything foreign, but the clicking could just be the brushes as they break in.

That sounds like a good setup. Get the BEC set for 6v and you will be good to go on about anything!

Hey John this thread is a great idea first off. I had a thread a while back about a MM with no drag brake.
http://www.orcrc.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1002
Still haven't figured it out, but ya mentioned my radio not being centered. How would I go about doing that? It seems like it'll "find" neutral in quite a large area of the trim.
Any suggestions? Thanks BTW"thumbsup"

So when you are sitting in neutral you get the yellow light (i think)? The drag brake should be the same forward and reverse unless you have a very advanced timing on your motor.

solomon7 01-16-2008 02:07 PM

Is it possible I have 2 motors w/ bad timing? I've tried 2 motors and 2 different radios, to no avail. Neither of the radios were digital, but CC said that shouldn't matter. The dead band is pretty large they said. They wanted me to send the whole rig in so they can figure it out. One prob, don't have a motor for the rig it's on (sold). Frustrating to have a mm for 4 months and still have no drag brake. If it reads yellow t has found neutral right? I don't get it:twisted:
P.S. Any news on a shorter cobalt puller on the horizon?8)

DISTURBIN' tha PEACE 01-16-2008 05:44 PM

Hey John, I just tried using the LBA10 I got. Started in "disconnect" mode. Plugged in the balancing harness & th 2 lights flash (lipo & a123). Then I plugged in the battey(vislero 1300, 11.1v). Instead of the lipo light comming on, the a123 light did. The instructions say the defult is set to lipo. Why is this happening & how do I fix it.?

I had that happen to me too. Power up the balancer and immediately hold the button for 2 seconds or more. That should switch it to lipo mode. Wait about 10 seconds and then tap the button once and it should go into lipo connect mode.

John, I have some radio shack 3300 NiMH batterys that I bought about a year ago and have been used about 100 times and they dont seem to last as long as they use to. Could you please explain how to cycle a 6cell NiMH battery with a 0606I charger. The hyperion user manual does not explain. Thanks.

JohnRobHolmes 01-17-2008 09:29 PM

I do not believe there is a cycling function on the 0606i, as I could not find one either.

tuner 01-17-2008 10:20 PM

I think it does. I just cant figure out what settings to put it on.
It says NiMH CYCLE C>1
..........C=3.3A D=0.10A
I have had it on this setting for like three hours and it has not affected the battery.

JohnRobHolmes 01-17-2008 10:54 PM

Oh, it is the 0610 that does not have the cycle then.

You are discharging at .1a. Hit enter until the D blinks and increase it.

tuner 01-17-2008 11:07 PM

K it goes up tu 1.00amp what do I set it at and what is the D 1 through 5 setting just above it?
