| Crawler King hybrid project advice needed.
I've got a Crawler King with some minor modifications but continue to be disapointed with the high center of gravity. I have acquired a TCS Gopher chassis and basically want to do a frame/chassis swap, using as much of the CK as I can with a budget build. Here's my delimma: The CK's tranny and motor configuration is not going to serve my needs, so I need to go with atleast another transmission. Should I use an Axial SCX-10 tranny, Stampede, or some other tranny? Will my stock CK center drive shafts be compatible with other tranny's? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks. |

Simplest fix clocked motor mount. Wk and scx10 trans have different sized output shafts.

Clocking the tranny would be an inexpensive mod, you can even use the stock motor plate to achieve this. This is one of many idea's..The Real Dogman's Wheely King Tuber Build There is also a method of using two stock motor plates and stand-off's, to lower and move the motor to the opposite side of the tranny. |
