| 40 Series on WK? 23mm Adapter?
Ok so I got a crazy idea to run some 40 series tires so I can tackle bigger/tougher terrain. I found some pretty good deals on the net for wheels and tires too. My 5.5in P-L Chisels are too small! I am not interested in hearing how I'm gonna snap axles and trash my tranny or any of that. I have upgraded all that to top notch stuff already. My question: Is there an adapter to go from a WK sized axle up to a 23mm adapter? Has anyone else run 40 series on a WK? If so lets see some pics! |

I used the DEL-CB03 from Wheel Adapter Kits and MAXX sized v-tread tires...along with VXL brushless, 96 spur and 12t pinion you have all the power and runtime in the world, plus it will go anywheres, its great for the snow too...

Those work, looks great! I just got my 40 Series Pro-Line beadlocks today in the mail, they are as big as my P-L Chisels! They should look awesome with the 40 series Mud Slingers that are on their way! |

The Traxxas bead probably won't work, if you guys want to go up to a Maxx size combo, get the deep offset, those don't get sucked in as bad and just look better than the stock offset Maxx wheels do. Oddly enough, somebody has done it in 1/1 too |

With the deep offset wheels do you need the wideners? What kind of wheels are those chrome ones.

Ok, so I just checked and the wheels I just got the other day are the #2683-01 Narrow wheels. Like I said above I also ordered the 12mm to 23mm Proline 40 Series Wheel Adapters from RC4WD which will add 3/4" (20mm) offset each side. Is this enough? Or did I just waste a big pile of cash? Adapters and tires are still in the mail so I can't bolt everything up and check. |

@adamargue: Those pics are pretty sweet. I was looking for those (of the yellow truck) the other day and couldn't remember where I had seen them. |

How does it drive/turn? I've been thinking of going larger with my Wraith axles... It looks like you could use wideners and a longer wb |

| Re: 40 Series on WK? 23mm Adapter? It drives pretty well, it does need a little more powerful/slower motor though(on the way). I put some wideners on the front axle as I only had two of them laying around. The pictures were taken before the wideners. It turns pretty well after the wideners, before it would rub the lower links. I hope to fix the wheel base soon with a new chassis.
