Default Just today.....

..... I got the 4x4 wheelie king and it's pretty awesome.

Just one thing though I am not liking the axles. They are not conducive to rock crawling since they don't lock. How do I do this?

P.S.:This is my first big rc I am moving up from XMODS.

Tear the axles down and jbweld the diffs. No more lock problems.

Not really. First thing you need to do is, go to the different sections, and read the sticky's up to the top. Also, go to the home page and read all the tech articles. You are going to spend some time doing all this. Go play with your truck and have fun, then read while the batts are charging. Do as much reading as possible and you will learn alot.

Later,Randy

If you don't want it super perminant then use hot glue, may not hold up too well though. There is also some gear you can get to lock it up, but I'm not sure what it is.

It causes the differential to act like a limited slip, I've used HPIZ162 which is a 100000# grease with good results on a number of RC's. I can even run the stock plastic diff on my Mini-T with an 8000Kv Mamba in it using the stuff!

just a warning if you JBweld the diffs. There are square holes in two of the bevel gears. you DO NOT want to get any JBweld in these holes or your inner axles will not insert into them properly and can bind up your axle stub when you put it all together. I'm running JBwelded diffs front and rear in my WK. No problems yet.

Do you think you could post a picture of the inside of your diff so I can see what it should look like?
