Idaho Rock Mafia 2012

Hey Guys,

First of all I hope everyone had a happy Holiday Season. What a month we have had and a great year. Thanks to all of you that made that possible.

So we have started planning the events to bring in the new year and see what we can do to keep us Crawling this 2012. We are going to have at least One Scale Event and One Comp Event Every month this next year without fail so make sure you get your cars ready and tune them for a very competitive year.

Rock Mafia Comp Crawling-

The 2012 Comp Series wont start until May of this year and will be a 6 Comp Series just like last year. That being said we will have 4 Comps before that time to help us all hone our skills and practice for what will be an awesome comp year.

January 21st will start the Crawling Series this year "weather permitting".
Location: Celebration Park
Time: Signups 9:30am, Comp Starts 10:00am

*We will be running the Comps a little different this year. Each Course will have 1 Judge and that Judge will be the only Judge for that Course. Courses will be running simotaniously to speed up the running and reduce the amount of down time. After all competitors have run the Judges will run the courses.*

February 26th- Comp 2
Location: TBD
Time: Signups 9:30am, Comp Starts 10:00am

March 18th- Comp 3
Location: Horseshoe Bend
Time: Signups 9:30am, Comp Starts 10:00am

April 15th- Comp 4
Location: Lower Reynolds Creek
Time: Signups 9:30am, Comp Starts 10:00am

Some of these dates will have Scale Events on the same day following the Comp so we will run the Comp as quickly as possible to make sure we can fit everything into the same day.

Looking forward to running my comp rig again. Hopefully most of you can make it out next Saturday. I just posted the Scale Challenge Dates and the January Scale Challenge will be on the same day as the Comp Crawl it will be right after the Comp crawl. Sorry for the late notice on this but hopefully most of you can get both your Comp Rigs and Scale Trucks ready for this date.

Not sure if Ill make it...
I dont know where its at..... have no way to seset my FXR + i have memory foams and @ 30 to 40 ish degrees, memory foams are as hard as the rocks we crawl on. LOL A hard or sharp inpact could snap them like twigs. LOL
Oh & the SCX10 isnt ready yet either.

Sorry guys due to the rain we are going to cancel the Comp Crawl for this weekend. Most of us are running Bodiless Crawlers now and there are quite a few of the group that wouldn't be able to make it anyways.

I'm thinking of rescheduling to February 4th or 5th for the January Comp Crawl. Hopefully one of these dates will work out better even though it wont be January anymore.

maybe ill have mine done by then. My FXR let out the magic white smoke thats inside the wires....
Still worked fine even wit the wires melted. But when I tore it apart to solder on a new wire something happened & it wont work at all. :(

Considering the SuperBowl is on February 5th (thanks for that info Jeff since I don't pay attention to sports) we are going to have our January Crawl on Saturday February 4th. Now if the weather is going to be questionable again we have been invited to Larry and Shaun's Hacienda for the comp. However if the weather is looking good I was thinking of trying one of the locations I personaly have never been to that I put on the Idaho Crawling Atlas like Jump Creek. Let me know if this sounds like a good idea or not.

Hey guy's just an FYI, I have sold nearly every RC car & truck I have or had and won't be competing anymore =( I hope you all have a great 2012 series. It was fun crawling with and meeting everyone.

just to throw this out there some of you know me ,my name is jaime i am from caldwell idaho i am currently building a southern style chassis with wraith axles and hopefully i can make it to the next scale gtg.i have my chassis at the powercoaters and should be done by tuesday so hopefully i can make it to the next gtg.

Dont think ill have my SCX ready... Im running out of time to get tall the custom stuff done... I have most of the parts i need, just missing a few crutial parts needed to get my bumpers & cage made & a few other misc. things...

The AX10 should be good to go as long as my package shows up this week.
