I add about 1 ton of rock today and about 2 tons of sand...weather is looking good and the course is all ready! FYI, anyone coming down rte 49, the bridge over 74 is out, you will have to detour thru Ogden.... Anyone coming down I74 from the west is fine, from the east follow the detour signs. Halfj7 going to have to find a time for you to come over and take advantage of the work you did building the course Josh, glad to here your going to make it! You should grab Ced on your way. They are calling for a day similar to today, rain first thing then clearing, although the weather is great right now and didnt see much on radar anywhere near. The creek is almost dry so shouldnt have to worry about a flood. Last edited by jetboat; 08-22-2008 at 06:13 PM. |

I had a ball. Thanks Jeff for having us out there, even if we did heckle you a tad bit. My "RTR" as some called it didn't do too bad (even if 1/2 the trucks had axial chassis). I guess I shoulda took a better go at the gate that got us all, but the old they couldn't so how could I self defeat won out. But, I was the first one over it afterwards. :-P I guess I'm going to have to find a dig unit, and then try to make a go at getting up north to run with the rest of ya at least once this year. Thanks guys for making my first comp a good one. |

It was a nice time. The course was well done. It just did not feel like a comp though...Jeff did not break. Thanks for the nice afternoon Jeff. IT was much better than the first attempt.

Just wanted to let you guys know I put a bunch of pictures up on the site: http://www.suburbanchicagorockcrawle.../Pictures.html The lighting was perfect for some of these, they turned out really good in comparison to shooting pictures at Busse with too much direct sunlight. Photoshopped versions coming soon |
