You can adjust that yourself. Dont pay the idiots at firestone to do shit you can do.

i know. couldnt hurt to square it up tho. ive jumped speedbumps and shit, im sure it's been tweaked since i bought it and thr old mtzs i had on it were cupping a bit on the df.

related news it looks like timmy needs a waterpump... i got a small leak out the seephole that literally just started today. not hard to change but wishing i didnt have to do it. replaced a wobbly fanclutch this winter and i'm sure thats why this waterpump is leaking. its only 4-5 years old.

primed and painting my steering links. sooo nice to have the t/a out of the way.

meh... would rather be wrapping up the steering than digging into this, but it needs done, and it gives me the chance to trim the waterpump pulley studs to make it much easier to get the belts serviced.

timing belt and water pump all done up, purrs like a kitty and doesn't drip. success!

i don't have experience with any other axles, but taking off the steering arms on a yota axle is not very fun. its only been 5 or so years since i rebuilt the knuckles so they worked loose relatively easy. relativley....

annnd the previous builder never centered up the steering box arm.

...really shoulda checked that about 5 years ago when i noticed it steered alot tighter to the left than right. i just figured it was the linkage and wrong geometry knuckle arms.

this thing should turn like a zuk should now!

eh. i got drinking out of my system at an early age. not a fan of drunk people and hangovers.. not that there is anything wrong with it.. ;)

its been an autozone weekend for me... rented a beefy puller from autozone and had to use my floorjack handle for leverage but i got that fracking steering arm off.

i put about a 1/4" more toe in it, definitely drives better but its basically a street tractor. nice to have full steering now.

grrr!!!

this isnt cliffs related, but whenever my t/a gets done is anybody able to maybe ride down with me in the 4rnnr and drive it back to the city for me?

adam?

its either that, or i take a cab or figure out the ****ing metra and try to find a cab out in the burbs.

when i dropped it off i had a friend follow me down and drive me back, but i'd be pushing the friend card pretty heavy if i expected him to do it twice.

appreciated. i'll let ya know.

i wont know the day until they get back to me on what needs to be done and how long it will take. it all depends on how long the trans builder needs to get into the tranny and find whats wrong.

when i scheduled this upcoming weekend for time off i also requested a floating day off so i could pick up the car whenever it was done.

I just read the rules, didn't see anything saying 'no pets' and there were a lot of 'no's'.

So the plan is to go down Sat morning? Get there 9 to 10? Camp sat night? That's good, I was thinking people were going down Friday night. Now I can mow the yard that night. (See Johnny, I'm old, tell her friend I mow the yard on Friday nights! Haha)

Ive got propane tanks, don't anyone buy any. I have like 6 and a stove too but I think zero has the grill version. Am I in charge of firewood again this time? I can get all the firewood if someone will let me eat a burger or something. I can eat lunch at the park food stand.
