Ford Focus ST170 (SVT) with big spec turbo engine. Cosworth bottom end, Custom spec GT30 turbo, 404bhp, blah blah. Works out at about 325bhp/per tonne... Same as an Mercedes AMG SLS! (which I got to drive the other day by the way lol) just to help it live, cars with similar bhp/ton ratio: Ferrari F430 ,Porsche GT3 RS, Ford GT I wouldn't be so sure about not being fast on the track... The chassis is insane, sticks like glue to the road. Plus my girlfriends brother laps the Ring in around 8:40 and his fully restored XR2 Fiesta with only 101bhp! (1.6 8v) but he does have sticky tires, and it's setup for track days. Last edited by simon170; 06-12-2012 at 03:15 AM. |

Yeah for the fronts of a 5B, I think from memory it's about 15.5mm I'll check for you when I get home, as I'm speeding along a German autobahn at the moment...

Hey guys, sorry for the lack if info, I made a mistake on the build and it bummed me out and I lost motivation cos I had to re-do a bunch of stuff, but things are moving again. Got the driveshafts machined, so now have drive from the trans to the axles. Mocked it up with wheels and body, looks killer! Figuring out steering at the moment. Then its electrics, then mount the body. |

Anyone have recommendations for a strong alloy servo saver? Got my 7980 in the mail and given the size and weight of these wheels its going to need protection... titanium gears be damned |

Its just over 1/8" I think. I was running 40 series mud slingers and had some big falls and had the mounting ears break off before the servo striped. You might be looking at the wrong place to beef it up. Thats why I built the servo mount.. lol I upgraded to the savox 1283 aluminum case servo also. I dont think a servo saver is going to make you happy but give it a shot and let us all know what you find and how it works. |

Buggynutt, what size screws did you use to clamp it down? I've made my mount and was wondering what screws to use. Want to make it strong but didnt want to put too many big holes in the axle casing and end up weakening it.
