I got my awesome Mad Force axles!! I'm in love. My Clod may never get put back together. Jugg's going back in a box. My first MT was a USA-1, so I'm excited to finally come back home to Kyosho!! Get this: Both axles have CVD's!! I paid less than I would have for some puny, stock AR60's. Now I need to save for a chassis. My Mad Force and TXT-spec Jugg axle comparison. Identical width hex-to-hex. Yep. My Jugg has been rendered obsolete. I want to get 2 more MF axles; another at this width and one centered at 11". Thanks, guys. My locked diffs have spools in them. I already have a TLT and AR60-axled crawler, so I figured I'd make this into an MT. I made a remarkable discovery, though, but that'll come later. I plan on doing the 4 spider gear mod, as well. Even HPI RS4 touring cars had 4 spider gears. What's up with that?? The Kyosho buggies all have 4 spider gears. Well, these AR60's are also useless at this point. No point in finishing them up for a go-fast truck. But you can see the size makes having 2 trucks this size a moot point when one will just keep breaking. |

So I finally had free time yesterday. I did the 4 spider gear mod and packed it full of the red stuff. Another reason I avoided the TF/MF trucks was that you had to use a grub screw to hold driveshafts on. Having owned a Juggernaut, I knew that was a disaster waiting to happen. I don't have the capability of drilling hardened shafts. Since I own a couple of MGT's, I've always figured the pinions and diffs had to be about the same, since they use the same size bearings. In case you didn't know, the MGT pinions come with a hole pre-drilled. No more stupid grub screw. The Twin Force pinion is on the left. The MGT pinion is on the right. Taddow!! The MGT pinions drop right in. Who wants to buy me dinner?? Then I gave it some lovin' with the sticky red stuff. I know some people need multiple angles. All buttoned up and ready to go. I'm so proud of myself. Look at it. Now I have to tackle the dreaded servo mounting issue. Last edited by Supreme Reign; 10-13-2014 at 05:35 PM. |

The TLT has proven, once again, to be the greatest repository of useful r/c parts ever seen in the industry. With it, I have assembled a servo mount which should suffice for the time being. Just to be clear: MGT diffs are too tall (too many teeth) to fit in MF axles. Now.. About that tranny. |

glad you got it all back together. this brings me back to 2008, when we did all these mods the first time i've never seen a stock mad force that comes with locked diffs. those are certainly from something else. the 4 gear spider gear is how they come stock, so i wouldnt call it a mod, but still you are going to like that a lot more with it being a monster truck. looks good man, that MGT pinion looks great in there. |

| Re: Guess Who Joined The Force Club Maybe the Twin Force did. The Mad Force Kruiser only comes with 2 spider gears. Thanks for the compliments. I can't wait to get it done.

From what I'm seeing, everyone's using these Axial trannies. They run about $40. Then you drop another $40 on steel gears. Then I'd have to get the 6mm output shafts for $60?? Or $125 for the Hot Racing WRAITH all metal Trans with Steel Gears. As nice as it is, that SuperShafty bombproof is just out of the question, budgetwise. How are the Axial trannies fairing for you guys??

So, I had a Sassy Chassis Clod UltraLite Stretch boxed up unused, so I traded it off for this pristine beauty. I've always wanted a CPE Barbarian. I must say I'm impressed by the heft of this chassis. It's much thicker than the CPE Stallions that I purchased. Way to step it up, CPE!! The sway bars will have to go, because they won't work. Can someone tell me if sway bars are a must have item. I like them for scale appearance, but none of my Clods and Juggs had them, so I don't see them as a functional necessity. |

3906 needs the new emaxx idler gear mod in order to handle big power/wheels/tires You also have to mod the stock idler gear itself Like this: left is stock right is modified. Need to grind the lip down for clearance, then install both! Last edited by Gula; 10-16-2014 at 04:24 PM. |

Ya those are awesome, near unbreakable from what I've heard but as hard to find as a unicorn. So the mod I did was found on another forum ages ago and only cost about $7. Can't wait to see your build finished |

MGT is that the AE truck? All Force axles have been 2 pinion diffs. Never knew why though. Didn't much matter to me. All my axles have been spooled :-) |

i dont know anything about traxxas, havnt ever owned one. i will say the bomb proof is probably worth the money. i have a couple and they couldn't be more stout. that said you can also use a 1/8 buggy center transmission. the gear ratio is a little tall for MT stuff, but it works in a tight spot. |

A Jugg/TXT tranny is an easy fit, but I'd be limited to a 540 motor. Unacceptable. Brandon asked me why the heck am I trying to buy an Axial tranny when I have 4 bombproof Traxxas trannies in storage. Brandon always makes a lot of sense. I'm leaning towards the Summit tranny for the low CG motor mount. I made a little progress and installed my shocks and 4-link kit(not the Barbarian 4-link kit). The WB is 13.5". Hopefully, the shock set up will negate the need for swaybars. |
