Here where I live (and in the region) ... there was no great rocks (like the USA) ... and I am not interested to drive in mud ... So for now I found a great place "indoor" |

never say "impossible"....what type of crawler do you have in mind? moon buggy?..trail?..stock limited? reason i ask..??? i could give you a scale drawing from some good pics..if not super complicated ..also have some designs for buggies of my own design..fully triangulated..any one could be redrawn and stretched to your size requirement i work a bit smaller..1/10... 2.2 ...and super for compition so i tried to keep it as small as possible for example ..(80% done)..345mm long x 125mm tall x 85mm wide made from 3.2mm solid rod..brazed just starting to get into scale mind you these are paper drawings "is my age showing?" but it deffinatly is not impossible!!! | |

Hello, Here are some examples of which I am seeking RockCrawler plans with accurate and ribs. If you have any, I am very interested in making a "Swiss-Tuber III in 1:6" |

| good day stef quick mock up n update of my 1/10 scale with ax -10 axles think moon buggy would be your best bet and easiest to duplicate/resize the above pics show a couple of different styles including unlimited, pro stock and modified stock(the jeep) let me know what u think of the moon buggy? front, middle and rear could be stretched or "fit" to your size requirements what size are you looking for ?...actual scale? just guessin..1/6 of real which equals 18"wheelbase 14"track width center cage dim of 8"l x 8"w x6 1/2" tall if you already have a drivetrain / tire wheel combo picked out let me know this would be perfect project for rc4wd's new blackwell axles |

Hi Gadge, The "moon buggy" is a good idea for my future project 1:6 and with new "blackwell axles" ... BUT I want the exact plans for a "moon buggy" with all the dimensions so that I can be very close to true. If I do not have this information, I am not going to start my third project. The first two RCCrawler are complete inventions (size) studying images on pirate4x4.com and I do not want to do the same. Do you have plans? |

notebooks full..all hand drawn..years worth I am having issues with your scale though when converting to 1/6 scale 108" wheelbase = 18" to scale... stock jeep is only 93" =15 1/2" 84" track width =14" to scale..bare bones stock jeep has a 60"=10"..that seems right.. a 5" tire does seem to fit a stock size to scale approx 30" but some of these rigs run 42" tall tires..thats 7" to scale most of the rigs you posted pics of are running 37" tires..then you need a 6 1/8" tire your tubing choice seems right on i have a box full of 1/4 stainless tube .035 & .065 wall myself (part of my job) 1/4 x 6 = 1 1/2 which is required by all ruling bodies werok etc..for all cages and chassis heres what i was planning scaling a moon buggy chassis on to drafting paper the moon buggy chassis whole..4 views, front side rear and top because of all the compound angles the plans wont give you an accurate size so there is approx 14 section views and thats just the chassis tubes as for suspension mounts.. roll it up and throwin them into a mailing tube.. need more info..let me know about size issue..pm ok.. |
