i have a dragon willys kit on its its way and i been thinking about axles... i was wondering if the gmc metalhead axles would work for my build?... or would they be too narrow?

Holy Hell those are nice lookin' axles. No mention of any dimensions in the text though? Seems like an obvious oversight. Drop them an email and see if they'll give you a hex-to-hex measurement.

Not at all. The stupidest question is one you keep to yourself. Thats what this place is for.

I can tell you this much for sure - the Dragon tub is wider than a Hasbro tub. I'd bet the GCM axles will not be wide enough for you. Wraith axles might be a better choice. Or another option if you're dead-set on these axles (they are nice looking I gotta admit - and being made of steel opens up a lot of brazing possiblities for adding mount points, and you can hit them with browning solution when you're done for ultimate realism) would be bodywork. There's a build thread around somewhere where instead of widening the axles he narrowed the tub...

The basic housings are exactly the same as a stock AX-10 axle but GCM does have an option for custom length axle tubes, so you could make them have an offset diffy and any length axle tube that you could want.
