Venom Creeper Axles??? How 'bout some undercarriage shots? Nice job using the 21st flathead, that looks great. The seatcovers are a nice touch as well, they came with the Jeep or did you make them? Last edited by Big Mike; 06-19-2012 at 01:17 PM. |

Damn, those axles aren't bad looking at all! They appear to have a little slide mechanism to lock/unlock the differential?? Or is it just a little plate, flip it one way to lock the other way to unlock? That would be a cool feature to remotely operate if possible... |

The front diff will have the remote locker kit in it. You can do both but I only have a three channel radio. You are right about the axles. They are pretty cool. I wish the dig unit would fit. Will get the rear lock outs thanks for the heads up. |

I am in the middle of building a Willys on the same frame (GCM) on wraith axles. I am having a lot of trouble with everything (suspension links, panhard bar, ride height) working together. Yours seemed to go together nicely. I may have started with the wrong body, the flat bottomed GI Joe, had to resort to cutting out the floor to drop the body over the frame. Yours looks great so farMore pics please!

Hi. I'm building a 1/6 crawler also using the Venom Creeper axles (so that I can have the locking differentials ). Could you give me the total width of the axles with and without the wheels (including the wideners)? I'm aiming for up to 33cm or 13 inches of width with the wheels, will that be possible? By the way, nice and innovative build, you are one of the first (or maybe the first) to use the Venom Creeper axles for 1/6 scale in the forum. Oh, and why don't use the third channel to control both differentials using a simple servo Y? |

My axles are 11" from outside of the tire to outside the tire. That's with the 2 19mm wheel wideners. You could get the width you are looking for if you use Mayhem wheels like I'm going to do. Just get the large hubs. Hope this helps. What body are you using?

Thanks. I've got the build planned, now I need to buy all the parts... I'm using a 1/6 New Bright Jeep Rubicon body. I've kind of changed my mind and think I should rather use the 1/8 New Bright Jeep JK body which will still fit my project and the Venom Creeper axles better, and it actually looks much more scale. (The drawback is I will need to get one.) And for the 1/6 New Bright, I anyway have a chassis almost ready, it's based on a Traxxas RC. Whenever I finish that I'll make a post with pics. One more question: Center of gravity. I wanted to know if the "heavy" wheelie jeep body makes your rig roll over lets say 50° side hilling or 60° climbing. The New Bright bodies are also heavy. |

The climb will be fine. Side hill might be harder. Just remember that they are more of a scale trail rig than a scale comp rig. |

The rig looks good... The selectable diffs arent going to last long...the lock ring is aluminum with steel press fit pins and the diff carrier is plastic...the pins clown out the diff carriers pretty fast...there are upgrade diff carriers for the Venom axles but most Venom drivers lock the axles...I make Lincoln Lockers for the Creeper axle that never fail... |

So where is the motor? Are you gonna have it stick through the firewall?

Motor will be in the firewall just barely. I hope to test run it in about a week. Waiting on shocks. |

I think the shock ran away That thing looks really good, I like how you kept the motor it it. Too bad its not high enough for the mud down there. You better sent it up north where it will get better use.
