I like how you are paying attention to all the little details. This Willys is coming together very well. Good job buddy.

Got the body painted. Still needs the dull coat. Not perfect but good enough for me. Seat mounts installed w/ shoe goo. Front axial bumper with winch also. Should be able to mount the seats and the cowl to body, body to frame tomorrow. Waiting on an LED harness from Chaotic Crawlers, that and other electronics install next on the list. Then hopefully DMG can build me a cage.

Got the lights wired up. Installed the original "canvas" top, dyed the green to black first though. Was gonna install some hood pins, but when I monted the body the hood seemed to click into place and hold pretty good. The last pic is the bracket I built outta some aluminium angle. It mounts to the top 2 tranny case bolts and is where I mounted my electronics. Also built a battery mount in front of this bracket (no pic yet) but my battery was a bit too big. Ill post a pic when I get it situated.

Just about finished up until DMG can build me a cage.

Here are the brackets I made from angle aluminum to tie the rear of the body to the frame.

Here is a battery mount I made from aluminum strap and angle, still needs some slots for a strap, also a shot of the electronics mounted up.

Still need to install dash plaques, measure and order all needed suspension links, get another shackle for the front bumper, and upgrade most of the plastic on the axles. Thats all for now but you all these damn things are never finished

Thanks for the compliments. Not sure on the measurement on the spacers. The wheels came with 3 sizes and these are the narrower of the three.

from outside edge to outside edge (fenders) about 9 1/4". The hood is about
6 1/2" wide.

Thanks for the measurement and it is wider than the hasboro jeep :(. I was going to order a set of those wheels for build but they look wide on the ar60 even with the narrow hubs on ...... hmmm do you know or could you take a measurement from the rear axle and measure from the center to center of the tires so I can compare it to my set up if you don't mind that is . I am running rok loks on mine and I am wondering if the slightly smaller tsl is giving the optical illusion of a wider stance

i plan on using some tiny neodymium magnets i got from harbor frieght to hold the hood down... just thought id throw that idea out there in case you have issues with the hood popping open

it came out looking great... id lose the extra tire but i guess that a personal preference

Its about 10 1/2 " from center of each tire. Mayhem may make the wheel in a narrower size. Might want to check.

Thanks man. What area of the store would I look for the magnets? I thought of using something like that just didn't know where to find em. Hasn't been an issue yet, have not driven it much.
