No, I havn't mentioned what the body is made of yet, and it isn't styrene. No updates yet, been making a sh*t load of wheels and had some family issues to tend to. Hopefully I will be done with this current run of wheels by Sunday so I can spend all Monday working on the Sammy.

If it's balsa, you got a damn good finish out of it |

Looks almost like ABS plastic. I would worry if it was made out of balsa; not very durable.

Look at the cowl area behind the hood where it's open. Looks like wood to me.

I was seeing double from making wheels, so I took a break to work on the Sammy for a little bit. Got the grill and headlight buckets done. I also got the "bump" on the hood, the floor, firewall, bed/fenger wells, and the leafsprings mounted. I got a lot done in a very little amount of time today, having good MOJO... Next to come is the doors, dash, interior, and bumpers. |

i think you should go for 1/2 doors. it would probably look killer like that. my buddy whitetrash has a 73 1:1 ford truck with 1/2 doors on it and it looks sick for a ford.

those leafs look sweet, it looks really close to a stock samurai. just a suggestion, have you thought of using the light housings from a nylint ? they look as though they would be the right size Last edited by murdock; 09-02-2006 at 07:40 PM. |

DUDE, that is really coming together nicely. Going to make a set of extra narrow beadlocks for it? Anway, looking good, cant wait for more updates. I think some RAM lights would be about right for fitting into the headlight housings..... but Im sure you already got plans for these sort of details. Cant wait for more. Looks good. I dont think its too tall. Its good to see your still keeping interest, its always more fun to build for yourself than for others.
