Default 10 horse monster!

This is the hart of this build. I have the Toro EX200 esc as well.
The plan is to build the ultimate scale race truck!

See if I hit the mark?

tis is the types of axles carriers that I have. and will be using the gold colored ones first. I'm using stainless bearings.

Here is the first chassis that where built. That changes as the build gets more involved.
The fan that will be cooling the motor.

This is how I plan on making power to the axles!
The motor set up that is being used with the 200 amp esc make 10 pus hp and so this must be strong.

these are 24mm hex hubs to fit the 5th scale wheels. I have a lot of wheels and you will see some of the different kinds in this build.

I have this idea to make this build really scale and thought of the Losi 5ive truck. so now I need to find the parts to make this happen. I have never seen a losi 5 in person and so this will be a large learning curve to make this happen. And also a costly one.
with batteries and a new charger that handles 8s lipos this build will cost well over 3000.00 dollars. Cage and body that I have planned cost over 750.00 alone. so here is what I have planed.

As you can see I will need to find a longer center drive dog bone and make a new chassis so that the wheel base is right.

This is the body that I found on ebay.

This picture shows how I'm getting the rear diff to tie into the center brace.

looking at the cage and how it's mounted I was thinking of buying some cool shocks that would mount to the cage just like the real trucks. So I went on line and found some that I liked. Here is what I came up with.

I have the new shock with the stock redcat rampage XBE shocks. Big difference and the same length as the rears.

So know I'm working on making the shocks look as real as possible, as far as mounting goes.
this is the rear set up.

this is the front. I need to clean these up and paint black so that they blend in with the cage.

I should point out that to get the longer chassis to work with this build that I used the same dog bone that I used in the rear. That make the truck more rear weight as far as balance goes. I hope it drives well.
I ordered some carbon fiber to build the center brace. this will look good with the body being carbon. In the future I want to build a chassis out of carbon as well.

Thx it's the most fun I have had in build so far. I have it running and it really is impressive! It pulls the wheels strait in the air with just a touch of juice. I have the truck ready for the up coming parade. It's not done but it's ready for it's first showing. I will have up dated picks soon. I haven't installed the body yet. So when I do I will get some pics for everyone. I also will be installing a steering wheel and seats that give it a nice look I think.

That chassis is going to tweak on the first rollover. I made a similar chassis to transform my Baja SC into a drag truck. I rolled one time at only 40 or so mph and now it sits in my garage with a twisted chassis. Wish I were able to convert it to a BL setup like you have.

I'm working on that. I'm building some custom braces that will hold the batteries and stiffen things up a bit. I also will be trying a cerbon fiber chassis that will not flex and should look good with this body as well.
This chassis that is in it now is stiff because the bends are close to the center and the center braces are aluminum and not plastic. I still see some problems though.
