I feel ya, shafties are in the wings and standing by... I'm collecting a few parts for the next two as I go.

It's been a little cold out in the shop!

I shlept my way through the first seat trying to figure out how to achieve the look I want. It's not too horrendous for the first attempt, I'm sure the second one will look a lot better.

I got the grill painted and lights installed (spoiler alert... orange paint )

The foam sheet material looks great on the roll cage for padding!

I thought so too! I used some 3M double-sided film and wrapped the bars, then attached the thin 2mm "Foamie" cut to length and width.

This weekend I also got the plastic dataplates shaved off the glove box and replaced them with some more realistic ones. I had to decide if I was going to cut off the pull/latch on the glove box to accommodate the full length of the plates or leave a skosh hanging. I might change my mind and move them up.

Mighty fine looking work going on here. I especially like your work on the seats.

Thanks!

So I made a bracket to hold a micro servo to mount under the dash to handle the steering wheel duties. It then occurred to me that a micro servo might be too light duty. Has anyone here used these micro servos for the steering wheel set up?

Last week I finally found a license plate bracket! I have been searching for something the right size for a month.

I have seen a micro used for this a few times on TF builds. I don't see why it wouldn't work here, all it has to do is turn the wheel and move the figure's arms.

I've got a micro on my Willys build for the steering wheel. It works just fine.

I had one ( a micro servo) on my Orange Jerp, it didn't hold up for me. I ended up using a 645 that has been running great for a few years now.

Thanks, progress was slowed the past few months while I finished writing a book. It's on the market now so I have a bit more time to finish this project.

So I must have been sleeping along the way, sorting out how to mount a steering assembly. without much sleep I trudge along reinventing the wheel with a couple pieces of scrap metal...

With blurry eyes and fingers crossed I put the B+ to and cycled it back and forth. Success achieved; one more thing crossed off the list!

A little help here!

So I've got him all buttoned up and and ready for a smoke test... Front wheels to the right, steering wheel to the right head to the left...

Can anyone throw a dog a bone and tell me which two wires I'll have to swap on this servo to reverse the polarity?

Thanks
