| Another gi joe jeep...
I've wanted to do one of these for a while and one finally found its way into my shop. I had a problem, that being the previous owner felt the need to brush paint it, and thick.. but more on that later. For now the chassis Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk |

Then a quick mockup after a LOT of scrubbing on the body with denatured alcohol to reveal all the original details. I'm going with the beater look, I mean really, it's a model of a 60 year old jeep, this is as real as I can make it. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk |

Looking good. Personally i would leave it and not strip it. Looks like a civilian got it at an auction, painted it and you are in the middle of a restore slowly revealing what it is. Highlighting the star and numbers is cool. I would get it to the point you like it, flat clear it and leave it. I always like the Barn finds that people do in mags and just leave it old, somewhat rusty, mostly repaired, leave it with "Patina" and just clear it. |

Thanks, that's the plan. I masked off and sprayed the undercarriage and interior flat black but exterior is staying the way it is Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk |
