Default New 2-56 scale hardware! Perfect for Mayhem 1.9 wheels!

I'm thrilled to announce a scale hardware option for everyone running wheels that require 2-56 hardware - IE Mayhem 1.9s!

Available here:
Scale Hex Bolts (2-56 x 7mm)

These work with our existing 2mm Socket Driver and really help set off these great wheels!

The screws have ~7mm of thread.

Keep in mind Locked Up RC wheels use 2mm scale hex bolts:
Scale Hex Bolts (M2 x 7mm)

These 2-56 bolts won't fit LURC wheels but should fit other manufacturers whose wheels use 2-56 screws.

Sweet, this is a good option for those running plastic beadlocks as well. The plastic M2 threads can get stripped, and when they do, 2-56 is a good option to replace that hardware. Might be a good thing to point out in the marketing of these bolts.

I agree. This is a great option for those who have older wheels but want to upgrade their hardware. Locked Up RC with some great product once again!

At some point down the line a black finish may be possible but for now the stainless finish is all I have.

I would not be difficult at all for you to paint them either.

Yeah that's what I plan on doing.. The thing is that the outside bolts are only 1/8 long and the smallest you make is 7mm what do you suggest I do about that. The way they're made I can run them in and then grind off the extra. I don't think I can make accurate cut at just 1/8 long.. Can you custom cut 72 of em for me ....lol ...

First thing I would do is check to see how deep their wheels are tapped. I'd take a longer 2-56 screw and see how far in you can go. there might be space....

I might be able to do something for you if not.

My regrinds show 7.3mm thread depth. That was only checking one thread hole, but I would think since it's machine threaded, they are all pretty close to that.
Looks like it would be just fine.
One thing that is slightly unfortunate is you would need 18 bolts for the outer bolts, 6 for the lug bolts, so 96 total, but they are sold in packs of 70, so you would have to buy two packs just to get the other 26. Even if you don't replace the lug bolts, you are 2 short on the pack of 70.
I might order 2 sets anyway since I have some other wheels from GCM that could use the extra hardware, but it would be nice to be able to order smaller multiples.
I'm not sure about painting them though, it seems that when you try to install them, the paint will just scrape off from the tool.

Yeah I thought about that with painting them because if that tool fits as tight as the rc4wd one it would def scrape it off.. As for the threads the inner hubs holes are 7mm the outter is only 1/8 inch.. I don't have em yet they are in the mail I'm just going by what Chris said of gcm.. But it seems that if they are machine tapped they would have to be a little deeper than 1/8 ya know

Message heard on the multiples and color and will see what I can do in the future. Multiples I can probably work on short term. Color will take a little longer as I need to recoup a little bit on these before I can do more color.

How many other people would be interested in these in smaller quantities? Say 35 per bag?

I got mine in the mail today, what a difference these make. Makes the wheels look alot better. Just a little info for the ones that don't know yet. Be careful if you use the hex tool in a drill, the heads are real easy to strip, so you need to take your time. Awesome product.

Count me in if you can do bags of 35. I'm not as worried about the color, although with the regrinds it definitely changes the look. As I am typing this I am thinking that I'd probably do 140 anyway because I'd use the bolts for the metalhead axles diff cover, but it would be nice to have smaller quantities anyway.
