My Trekker with a new Jeep body. Still working on mounting the body a bit lower and awaiting fresh new HR aluminum shocks!

Default Losi Micro Scaler - '99 Chevy Silverado CK

Hey you guys.

i decided to have a little fun with the losi micro crawler. I saw a lot of people building 1/25 scale scalers with it, but i didnt always like the outcome. But when i saw these pictures of a '99 Chevy Silverado CK, i wanted to build an exact replica scaler of the micro crawler.

I bought the 1/25 chevy silverado ck plastic model kit from revell and the rtr loci micro crawler and started building. Since this ain't a buildthread, i'll show you the finished product. I'm very happy with how it came out.

It's running the micro-t lipo
I'm using modified micro sct tires and wheels
It's running the droop setup with micro-t oil filled shocks from 3-Racing.

my micro crawler. I was looking for a trekker, but I could only find one of these after calling half a dozen hobby shops around me (I had to have something right NOW haha). That was ultimately a mistake because I ended up buying another toy while I was there lol

stuff done:

remove spur gear guard, battery tray, and esc covers
move battery to rear axle
flip trans
hs-65 servo
micro-t springs
stretched front wheelbase
aoshima tacoma body

I mounted the cab using body posts I robbed off my micro rs4 screwed into the holes of the original body posts.

Then I painted it all one color, which was better, but didn't seem right for a truggy to have perfect body panels

*edit* dug out an old jeep model and patched the body back together, then hacked it up again lol I'm a jeep guy anyway, so it only made sense to run the jeep body.

the real one:

specs: trail trekker with 2 springs per shock. body is 95 ford ranger that is metal and very heavy. It gives it good scale handling.
