good to see someone else workin on a micro mog as well. that one with lights is pretty sweet! I didnt even know they ever made a version with lights.

Well I got the frame all finished up again then did a test run on the coffee table and after falling off the table snapped the rear of the chassis again at a different point lol It broke right behind my new rear shock mounts so I just kept running it since that part of the frame isn't essential right now. Anyways I got a couple short vids of the mog in action for you guys to enjoy. I have to readjust the gear mesh so the drivetrain will be smooth again but all around I am pleased.

LOL nice build and carnage! and thats an easy fix! cut out some metal plates as thick as the chassis and an inch long and put them on both sides of the ladder frame and bolt/screw them into plaxes like this

[:] the : lol.... the []'s are the plates. do that on both sides and youll be off in no time!

Since the chassis is usually a C channel what I do is trace it out on lexan cut it out and glue in lexan pieces with a very thin layer of shoe goo.
I don't use CA as it makes the plastic brittle. I have seen others basiclly box in the chassis with a flexable glue like shooe goo.

I was laughing as I was shaking my head, kinda like when you see a buddy get hit in the junk playing ball. It's humorous but at the same time you feel bad!

well I've been indoor wheelin the mog all weekend with the reinforced frame and it seems to be holding well. I am going to eventually brace a couple more parts of the chassis just to be safe, then im going to either build a flat bed or a slant back caged rear end. Got bored tonight so i took another quick video testing out the highest climbing angle with this setup. notice the nice smooth non binding tranny

Well I thought i would leave a little update on the micro mog. I've reinforced most of the frame to prevent any more breakage and just started a bed for it tonight. Sort of a rally mog inspiration for it but I think it will look good in the end. Still need to build a hinged rear hatch for the rest of the bed then mount a spare tire on the slant back part of the bed. Going to make it removable so I can build another "crawler" style bed that will get the CG low again for better crawling action when i want it.

Watch out Dakar, here comes GIZMO's ride! Now you just gotta get it all painted up with logos and sponsor stickers everywhere and it'd look right at home on the Dakar rally series!

haha yep too bad mine wont be winning any races with crawler gears lol.

I got a little more work done on the bed today. The weight is getting a little out of hand but it will be a fun expedition type scaler bed. Anyways here are a couple more pics

Well it's been a while since I posted an update on the Micro Mog so here we go! I have been back and forth on the bed for the mog because of how much it takes away from the performance of the rig with all the weight up high. I really like the look of the rally bed however so I decided to finish it out a little and make this more of an expedition type truck. haven't had any more frame breakages but all the added weight will definitely test its limits. Anyways, here is what the Micro Mog is lookin like these days. Enjoy

I will try to get some wheeling pics for yall soon!

thanks man, it all comes with time and experience Just keep building till you're happy with what you got!

Here are a few wheelin pics from today. Took a pretty good end over end tumble down a hill right off the bat and ripped a rear tire off the axle with how heavy this bastard is anyways, here they are. enjoy

Little too much torque twist flopped her over on the climb

That looks absolutely brilliant. Is the revell kit the 1/24 or the 1/35?
