I have a couple of those Tamiya 3 & 4 speed boxes. There are 3 & 4 gear ratios possible by swaping out gears. They are not selectable though.

if you look at all his youtube videos. he obviously has a hobby problem. but other than that he picks it up and you can see he has replaced the entire transmision. i would like to see a better pic of the gears. I destroyed a tamiya semi transmision i would like to see if he made it like them.

you can tell it's real...just listen to the motors. the motor sound does NOT change, but the wheel speed does.....that's proof enough right there. there's 100% NO USE for it....but, some idiot will pay for it.
