| 3-Speed Transmission?
I did some You Tube searching for the Losi MRC, and came across this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SmVyJ...eature=related Apparently it is possible to run 3-speed tranny in the micro. Does anyone know how this could be done knowing the space in the chassis? |

looks like he replaced the existing transmision with one he made. it looks similar to the tamyia hobby kits that teach kids how things work only smaller, lots smaller. looks real to me. |

I want this to but this would need an extra servo and weight? Even if I could just get that low gearing it would be cool. Is this a forum member building it?

i don't believe it is a forum member and it sure ain't me (yet), you an do the gearing by shifting with the servo, or i have seen setups where 3 different motors run the gears. but as for the weight, it would be about the same a having 4-wheel steering.

At first from the vid, I thought he was a contractor at a jobsite, thus the pile of sand. Now I figured it out. He is a drug lord, cutting his big pile of cocaine with RC trucks in front of his friends at their version of a gtg. |

| I was thinking it was fire hydrant dust lol you can't use the camping range indoors im pretty sure tamiya makes a micro 3 speed like you would see in a bruiser, but its smaller and all plastic i used to see them at this science project shop when it was still open. |

It would not be shift on the fly tranny, just adjustable. | |

thats a good idea from the robotics, never thought to look there for pinions and gearboxes, i'll have to keep those types of sites in mind if i decide to do a tranny swap.
