Thought I'd add this servo to the list: HobbyKing R/C Hobby Store : Hextronik MG-14 14g/2.2kg/0.11sec aircraft servo Metal geared, more torque than the HS-65MG. It's pretty tall compared to the stock and the HS-65MG, but I'm planning on not using the servo saver, which means I may be able to slide the servo up and get it to fit. I've ordered two and will update this post if I can get it to fit. |

Anyone ever think about using the 1/25 Shocks/Struts? http://www.micronitro.net/struts__coilovers.htm He said he would get some measurements and get back to me. The sight says they can be cut to length so that would be good too. Right? Sent from my BlackBerry 9900 Last edited by olblueyez; 05-01-2012 at 11:36 AM. |

I also wanted to add that People choosing Servos for the Trekker, may have a little trouble getting some of the recommended units to work. On the Trekker you will have enough room for a Servo that is 23mm/.905". Those Hi-Tec units are .92 and forcing one in there will put a lot of pressure on the front axel housing(s). I used an HS-5065 and I had to grind the servo mounts down so they were closer to flat on the inside. I guess you could also use some 2mm washers/spacers to fill the gap between the mounts and the axel housing. People who want to use Aluminum servo mounts need to know about this. I have the Hot-Racing mounts with the battery plate (so I can add weight if I like, and I will be using the Nylon mounts I altered to make this work and not the nice anodized units that came with the HR kit. Everywhere I've looked the HR Transmission housing (not the cover) is out of stock. Does anyone know of a place that has it in stock? Thanks! MtN C. |

Just Subbin, and a GREAT place to get custom build parts (IE tube, all thread, styrene) is 1. your LHS, and 2. hobbywarehouse.com

Hi, this is an awesome thread... does someone want to add the part number and a link to the lost Mini-t springs that everyone talks about using? I found them but im not sure weather to buy the front (LOSB1600) or back (LOSB1601) springs? or if there is even a difference in length or anything else. Thanks!

Danally wide offset mod is my favorite though, because it is free, and super deep dish wheels look awesome. Sent from my SGSII E4GT Last edited by gbean; 10-25-2012 at 09:21 AM. | |

The Danally method is good if you feel confident to carry it out yourself, as like gbean says, it's free & looks pretty good once done. The crawlingwide wheel wideners/weights look really good, but to fit them to a micro crawer you need to fit the stub axles from the micro trekker as they are longer (the kit is designed to fit the trekker only). |

I am posting this as a warning, HR (Hot Racing) and it's resellers (Hobby Etc.) have some awful website order forms, and in my case poor customer service. I also tried to order from Liquid RC, and the online order form was utterly unusable. I purchased 2 sets (8 total) of beadlock wheels from them (at approx. 40$ a set, 80$ total) and only received 1 set (4 total), the invoice said "2 items" and the website said one set (item) was 4 wheels (@ 40$). So I am short 4 wheels. I have emailed multiple times and have received no response of any kind. So it with some sadness that I post this, as the 4 wheels I did receive were good quality. If you can buy them at your LHS they are fine, but I would never order from their websites until they address this. *Update* The folks at Hobby Etc have gotten around to emailing me once, said they had sent a refund of the cost for the second set of wheels, I asked them what format was the refund (check, e-transfer etc.) and got no reply at all since. Also I haven't seen the refund yet either. I ordered one more set of these wheels from "The Toyz" and I am expecting better results from them. Last edited by KnutKase; 12-05-2012 at 06:53 AM.
