Cool New to the Micros

Got this in a trade. Its ready to run but its a BnD and I dont have a Tx for it yet. But thats ok I can at least mod it till I can get one.

Here is what I have in mind:

Enyone remember these:

And with the Micro.

what the Mog looks like sitting on the Micro

and the blue thing:

I know that they look a little out of scale but how cool do they look.
They are die-cast but I do have a sluwe of springs that I can use.

Very Cool Safari Truck- never seen one. The blue thing reminds me of a Toyo FJ? Which Spek radio you plan on using?

I was just digging up a couple of those metal bodied crawlers to scavenge parts. I think I had every one but that mog you have. Before I got into RC, they were the coolest thing, haha. I have been thinking of making the worm gear transmissions into a winch, but the springs from the shocks were what I was after this time. Not sure about all that weight up top though. But you tell us, does it handle well?

Wonder if these things will ever be worth money? RCAA is way back in terms of rock crawling.

build a cool shelf model with em...
kinda small for the micro, and willing to bet makes it pretty top heavy..

make neat models tho with fresh paint and cool poses..

if you really want a sick micro then you should buy an aoshima toyota or a revell jeep on line, you can check outwhat the toyota looks like at the "micro yota" forum in micro scale rigs, i just love the scaler idea with the micros!!!

I didnt think that Wal-Crap ever carried modles any more?

MadJones-- Very cool, I would have never gone that far for something that can only go in a strait line. Like the way you did the top on the FabTech Jeep.

Im going to have to remember that, Hobby Lobby has such a limited selection. How ever Im thinking of looking for a LMTV kit and going that route.

Thought just hit me.
Do you happen to know what happend to the RC shop in Joplin? Not the one on Rangeline, I know it got taken out by the tornado; I mean the one on 32nd st.

Went there a few weeks ago and noticed there gone and there tearing down the track out back too.

No, but one of my friends told me that it was being torn down. Not sure why though. There was one here in Pittsburg too called "The Underground" and it looks as though it is gone too.
