Well a small update. I ran it as a 6x6 with the sumo trans for quite sometime and it was awesome. Had more torque than you would ever need. Only problem with it was it was slower than a snail fart. If it ever started sliding you just kinda held on and hoped you stopped soon. If you needed wheelspeed to ramp over a ledge forget about it. So out come the tools and I gave it a little pep. Rig is no longer a 6x6. Went back to good ole' 4x4. Rebuilt the bed added a few new things here and there and got a new heart in the beast. Now its running a 80t BIG BLOCK w/neomags and sitting on 17/58 gearing. It is a whole new creature. Here are a few pics on the indoor course. |

yeah actually I do. Hope to have some more uploaded tomorrow when I get in from work. I went and did a full over haul on it and finished up some of the details. I condensed my stuff down to pretty much one rig and got the rest of my micro stuff up in the for sale section.

Well I believe I can call this one finished for now. I added the trim stripe down the side, fake winch on the front, mirrors, and the motor cover to hide the B1r under the hood. Had to reinforce the crawler x leaf springs I used on the rear as teh weight of it was causing some sagging. Took apart a retractable badge holder I picked up at walmart and used the spring inside. Ended up adding 2 leafs to it and it makes them perform so much better. The wife picked me up a testors 1:24 trailer kit for my birthday as well. After some modification it now sits up higher on boggers and has the drop hitch built into the trailer. Add some hook mounts on the trailer for tie downs and I think I can call it done as well. Got the indoor course setup again as well. Enjoy. Last edited by BerticusPryme; 06-11-2012 at 02:24 AM. |

Well it has been a bit hasn't it? Had some nice weather this past weekend and had a section beside the house that was just bare and blah. Started working on the small micro course outside and no better way to test than running about 3 packs through the crawler. Thought I would share with you guys and finally get that running vid up with the miclaws. 3500 micro crawler rebuild - YouTube |

Thanks. If memory serves it is Apocolyptica. They do quite a bit of string covers.
