| Lower Control Arm Axle Mounting
I know I've seen a thread where somebody moved the mounting location of the lower control arms on the axle. Hell if I can find it now... I'm thinking of taking the stock mounts and narrowing them by cutting 1/8th inch material off either end. Then threading the balls back on so they seat deeper into the existing mount. Anyone try this? I'm basically fine tuning my build now and would like to get a bit more clearance between the lower control arms and the HR Shock mounts. |

Sounds like a good idea. I noticed that with the HR Aluminum Gearbox, the left rear lower link binds up on the gearbox and limits that left rear wheel from rising all the way. The shock only compresses half way. Sent from my BlackBerry 9900 |

Black Rock...... what you are asking to do seems totally doable. There's plenty of real estate to do that andget the desired effect. The only problem I see with it is that you'll lose triangulation and possibly gain undesirable lateral axle sway. I say go for it, thetoyz.com sells axle housings if all else fails and it doesn't work out. |
